About Us

Riker and I met in January of 2012 and were married in September of 2012. (classic Mormons!) He asked me out in church in front of people! I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever laid eyes on and I still almost said no.

The night before Riker and I went out I had one of the most disastrous dates of my life and almost cancelled on Riker. The night before had ended in tears. You can read a short synopsis of it here (it's number 21). When Riker picked me up I knew that I had made the best decision of my life. He was wearing a pearl snap, jeans, boots, the windows were down in his pickup and country music was floating through the windows and I swear in that moment I felt more love than I knew was possible. We went out to eat at Red Lobster and then went country dancing. I can't believe he asked me out again after that! (I was am a TERRIBLE dancer).

We both knew from that time that we were meant to be together (so cliche...) but it's true and we got engaged on March 31, 2012. I announced it on April 1 so naturally no one believed me. We were sealed for time and all eternity on September 15, 2012 in the Mount Timpanogos LDS temple. Now, we're living our fairy tale out to eternity!
